After first visiting the region in 1997, we immediately fell in love with the location of the house and its marvelous panoramic view of the Tuscan valleys and Apennine Mountains. Although the house had been abandoned for 30 years and in bad conditions, my husband and I decided to purchase, renovate, and call it home. As the house was too large for just the two of us, we moved into one half and designed the second half into a comfortable holiday home to accommodate our future guests.
